downtown san francisco 62 with the u.s. mint. san jose 60 and santa rosa 56 degrees. radar is clear but we have had snow already in the sierra and get ready for many ski resorts to open. here is video. happy skiers, happy ski resorts. north star, heavenly, opening for good tomorrow. kirkwood, squaw valley opening for good on friday. and just about every resort will be open in time for thanksgiving because of the snow that we have already received in the mountains. a lot more snow to come. today we were right on the northern fringe of a high pressure dome. we know this because you can see the cloud shield and look at it just basically splitting the bay area in half. in marin county you were mainly cloudy but in the south bay mostly sunny skies. here is the setup. high pressure is moving out and we get a southerly flow tomorrow before a storm moves in. we call that the warm before the storm. and tomorrow it will be warm. many in the 70s. and then the storm gets here in the form of cloud cover on thursday and when it starts raining on friday we'll have five straight days
